Boarding Program

A comfortable and secure living experience

Columbia International School offers boarding students both girls/boys safe and comfortable dormitory living experience. The dormitory was built in March, 2000 and is located about an 8 minute walk from the campus. The modern three story building was built with comfort and safety in mind. It provides an excellent environment for students to study and share their school experience.

Features of the Dormitory

1.A dorm supervisor resides permanently at the dormitory and takes care of students needs every day.

2.The building is equipped with the latest security technology.

The entrance door is equipped with an automatically lockable fingerprint security system. Each room has a personal identification number door security system. Each student is given an alarm card that allows for direct communication to the security company.

Accouterment

■ 1F Cafeteria
Breakfast and dinner are offered from Monday to Saturday. In addition, the vending machines of snacks and beverages are available for boarding students. A large screen television is also installed for relaxation.

■ 2F Rooms for singles and doubles
Each 6 mat room is equipped with an air-conditioner, a bed, curtains, a computer desk and chair, a cabinet, power outlets, a light, TV antenna and a phone terminal. Each floor is fully equipped with washrooms, shower rooms, coin washers, a refrigerator, an iron, and. In addition, a bedding lease service and cleaning service are also available. (Charged)

*The Boarding Fee and major expenses can be paid by term. The Bond Fee has to be a lump-sum payment at first.
*No meals provided on Sundays, national holidays and school holidays including summer, winter and spring.
*Dormitory residents cannot stay in the dormitory during the winter break.
*Staying during the summer and spring break please contact the office. Their stay may be approved with additional payment.

Their International approach is very specialized niche in Japan. Cezars Kitchen works with CIS to provide nutritious, well balanced and flavorful dishes from all over the world while providing food service program that fits with school’s mission and culture.

Kitchen Principles

Cezars philosophy is simple, “Passion for great food while customizing their service to individual needs and preferences”. They prefer to cook from scratch and use fresh ingredients whenever possible. CIS kitchen has a professionally trained chef who is passionate and committed to preparing delicious, made-from-scratch meals for his clients.
Following kitchen principles were created to assure the highest level of food quality for and its students and staff:


Lunch Menu
  • High quality on-site chef, preparing and overseeing all aspects of the menu.
  • Cooking from scratch will provide our clients with healthier options and better tasting meals.
  • The menu is tailored to fit the CIS community’s preferences. Whether students require a Halal, vegetarian dishes daily, the Cezars team makes every effort to meet those needs.
  • No rotation menu. Cezars prides itself in inventing new dishes every month for CIS community, while blending with local favorites.
  • Vegetables are prepared in small batches at the last possible minute to preserve the best possible quality. The chef focuses on lunch service until the last meal is served.
  • MSG is never used.
  • Palm and peanut oil is never used.
  • They make their sauces from scratch (pizza, marinara, etc.)
  • Vegetarian choices are always available.
  • Their beef is imported from Australia; and it is chilled, never frozen.
  • The beef burgers are 100% Australian beef. They only use rump and topside cuts.
  • Cezars only uses natural cheeses in their preparations.
  • Cookies, muffins, and breads are baked fresh daily whenever possible.
  • With regards to food allergies, they are cautious with their techniques and ingredients

After School Care(ASC)

ASC(After School Care)

Columbia International School provides an after-school care program to help out working parents or others who are unable to pick up their children(K-G6) immediately after classes. ASC maintains a safe and comfortable environment for children’s quiet and independent study.
