On December 15th, as part of our Columbia Cares program, the elementary division students and staff took part in helping to make our community better by picking up trash around our neighbourhood.
We separated into groups and were assigned different areas to clean up and we were able to collect a lot of discarded materials that had been thrown onto the ground or into the bushes.
Everyone enjoyed our time outside on such a beautiful day and it was a great experience to help remind us of the importance of keeping our community clean.
After we finished cleaning, the students were able to enjoy themselves even further by having playtime together in the park. (Mr. Herbert)
