Japanese Language Proficiency Test

On November 10th, the annual Japanese proficiency test took place at Columbia Elementary School.
The test consisted of levels 7 to 1, assessing comprehensive Japanese language abilities, including vocabulary, grammar and kanji.
For the G1 graders, it was their first experience with the Japanese proficiency test.
They did a practice exam with questions from the previous year’s exam, focusing on how to write answers and strategies before the actual test.
For students in the 2nd grade and above, it was an opportunity to demonstrate the significant improvement in their Japanese language skills over the past year that was achieved through reading numerous books.
On the day of the test, there was a slightly nervous atmosphere.
However, each student faced the challenge with determination, striving to do their best without giving up in order to pass their respective levels.
Everyone did exceptionally well! (Ms. Vella)
