After a 5 year hiatus, Columbia’s Habitat for Humanity volunteer trips are back! This year we went to Da Nang, Vietnam, and helped build 2 houses for 2 families in need. Both groups did a great job from working on the foundations to building the brick walls. Thanks to our students, 2 families will have houses that they can live in without fear of them falling apart. We also got to go sightseeing and enjoy the local culture, from the famous sunrise on My Khe Beach to the Golden Bridge of Ba Na Hills. And, of course, great food to be had every day! A special thanks to everyone who donates on Dress Down Day, providing school supplies and soccer and volleyballs for the local elementary school. Great job Habitat Vietnam team! (Ms. MacDonald)
