The fire drill at Columbia International School was conducted on April 18th. As soon as the schoolwide emergency alarm broke out, the students were attentive and listened to their teacher’s further instructions. All the classes evacuated quietly and quickly onto the field. On the field, the Tokorozawa Fire Department officers talked about the importance of fire drills and points to remember when an actual fire breaks out. During the fire extinguisher demonstration, the officers gave everyone 3 simple words that were easy to remember for the steps when using the fire extinguisher. The fire drill was not only informative but also truly practical for teachers, staff, and students alike. (Ms. Chung)
