In our ongoing effort to ensure a safe school environment for our students the school recently held an earthquake drill. During the drill, an alarm sounds, and everyone follows the “Drop, Cover under your desk, and Hold On” procedure?students drop to the ground, take cover under desks, and hold on to protect themselves from falling objects. Teachers guide students through the drill, ensuring they remain calm and follow instructions. After the shaking simulation ends, students evacuate the building in an orderly manner, assembling on the main field for a headcount. These regular drills help reinforce emergency preparedness, ensuring that students and staff can respond quickly and safely in an actual earthquake. (Principal Barrie McCliggott)
