On February 12, together with the Tokorozawa fire department, the school conducted a comprehensive earthquake and fire drill to reinforce safety awareness and emergency preparedness across all grade levels. The drill provided students with age-appropriate, hands-on experience in responding calmly and effectively during emergencies.
During the earthquake portion of the drill, students practiced the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” procedure in their classrooms, guided by their teachers. This was followed by a simulated fire evacuation, during which students and staff exited the building in an orderly manner and assembled at designated safety points. Teachers confirmed attendance to ensure all students were accounted for.
Regular emergency drills are an essential part of our commitment to student safety and well-being. By practicing these procedures in advance, students gain confidence and learn how to respond responsibly in real-life situations. We are proud of our students and staff for their cooperation and seriousness throughout the drill. (Principal)
