The grade 9 and 10 PE classes went on a long hiking trip to Mt. Mitake on May 16th.
The weather was good and the kids were energetic.
After taking the cable car halfway up the mountain, we then hiked around, going through valleys and crossing streams.
The kids hiked well, slowing down only on the steep parts.
We saw late-blooming wisteria and azaleas, heard birdsong, and met a Japanese serow!
After eating a healthy lunch on the mountain, we hiked around and back down again.
It was a long and tiring day but everyone did well and kept up.
