Columbia International School held a heartwarming opening ceremony on April 6 to welcome its new K–12 students for the 2025 academic year. The event brought together students, parents, teachers, and staff to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in the school’s vibrant Columbia community.
The ceremony began with opening remarks from Principal Barrie McCliggott, who encouraged students to embrace curiosity, kindness, and perseverance. “At Columbia, we believe in nurturing not just academic achievement, but also personal growth and global awareness,” he said.
The Parent Teachers Staff Association and the student council also welcomed the students and their families and encouraged them to get involved in the many programs and activities Columbia has to offer.
