The volleyball season is underway and our school is fielding four different teams. The main teams are the senior girls and boys while we have had a junior high boys and middle school (G7-8) girls team play exhibition games. The senior girls are off to a hot start in league play and are 2 – 0 in league play. They have also done well in exhibition games and are 2-1 there. The boys are having a rougher time of it and find themselves with a 0 -2 league record and a 1 – 1 exhibition game record. Both teams look good and should do well in the year end tournament. Stay tuned to see how they finish up.
The junior high boys went to CAJ and turned in a good effort in a loss, 2 sets to 1. The games were back and forth and we had a great chance to pull off the victory but came up a little short.
The middle school (G7-8) girls entertained an experienced KIST team and almost pulled off a victory. They exhibited a lot of energy and team work. Hopefully we can get a few more games for them so that they can continue to grow.
