Grade 7 and 8 Teacher

Title: Grade 7 and 8 Teacher
Description: A full-time teacher to teach under the Ontario curriculum mainly Grade 7 and 8 courses from April 2024. The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor of Education preferably from Canada (Ontario) and be eligible to become a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.
Duties & Responsibilities Be a positive member of our teaching team
Work Place: Columbia International School
153 Matsugo Tokorozawa Saitama, Japan
Work Hours: 8:30 am ~ 4 pm (Mon - Fri) plus additional time for special events as required
Work Days: Monday to Friday some weekend days for special events as outlined in the school calendar
Personal Attributes: Passion for working with students
Communicates effectively with students, families, and school staff.
Can collaboratively work with others
Be open-minded, creative, and flexible
Maintains a positive and calm attitude.
Friendly, reliable, and punctual
Able to multitask and work independently
Qualifications: Bachelor of Education and a teaching license.
Preference for Ontario-qualified teachers and eligibility for membership in the Ontario College of Teachers.
Completion or willingness to complete a child safeguarding course.

Elementary Homeroom Teacher

Title: Elementary Homeroom Teacher
Description: A full-time Elementary Homeroom teacher to teach under the Ontario curriculum from August 2024. The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor of Education preferably from Canada (Ontario) and be eligible to become a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.

Title: Full time Administration staff
Description: School Administration Office
Duties & Responsibilities Kindergarten and Elementary administration office
Student/Parent/Teacher support
Teach Kokugo/Japanese classes
Work Place: Columbia International School
153 Matsugo Tokorozawa Saitama, Japan
Work Hours: 8:15am ~ 4:50pm (Mon - Fri), 7:30 ~ 13:30(Sat)
Work Days: Monday to Friday
2 Saturdays per month
Personal Attributes: Passion for working with children
Communicates effectively with students, families and school staff.
Can collaboratively work with others
Be open-minded and creative
Maintains a positive and calm attitude.
Friendly, reliable and punctual
Able to multitask and work independently
Qualifications: Japanese teaching related license or qualification/certificate/degree
Working experience in an environment where English is the main language of service.
Japanese native with fluent English, OR English native with fluent Japanese.
Working experience in a school setting is desirable.
Complete the school’s child protection course.
