Sweet Potato Picking

Kinders went sweet potato picking in our local community.

Our Kinder students hosted Maple Nursery School at CIS for a Halloween event filled with songs, games, Jack ‘O Lantern carving and some trick or treating fun.  The children all had costumes and enjoyed the activities very much.

Reading Time

Our kinders have been working hard on their reading skills this term.  They enjoy our pair reading time so they can help each other and enjoy the books together.

Chikozan Zoo

Our kinder class joined Maple Nursery school for a field trip to Chikozan Zoo.  The children had a chance to touch some chicks and guinea pigs.  It was a good experience for them to hold the small animals and observe their behaviors.  Last, we had a picnic lunch together before heading back to our schools. …

Harvesting Popcorn

Our kinder students working hard to take the popcorn off the cobs from the plants we grew in the school garden.

Our kindergarten students found time to plant some sweet potatoes on Friday.  We are looking forward to harvesting them in the fall.
