We are growing sticky potatoes in kindergarten this year.  The leaves are bigger than us already!  WOW!!!

Happy Canada Day-150th Anniversary

Happy Canada Day! CIS successfully showed our Canadian spirit by making “150” for Canada’s 150th anniversary! It was such a fun Canada day and last day of school. EPAC 2017

Columbia hosted EPAC (English Performing Arts For Children) 2017 on Saturday June 3rd.  Our kinder class performed an original remake of the famouse story “That’s Not A Good Idea” by Mo Willems. Columbia won the award for Most Creative performance.  GREAT WORK!

Literacy Fun!

K-1 students (ages 3-4) practicing their alphabet letters using colored counters.  This was also good practice for their fine motor skills.

River Field Trip

Today was kinders annual river field trip together with grades 1-6.  The students had a GREAT time playing in the river, building rock piles and having a picnic lunch together.

Spring

Spring is here! Our little bunnies celebrated Easter together with Maple preschool by coloring eggs and playing games.

Swimming

Our kindergarten class had their first pool lesson for the new school year.  Everyone enjoyed the water very much and did very well.
