Boy’s basketball team

Spelling Bee Contest In CIS

Our kinder and elementary had the CIS Spelling Bee Contest today. The winner is going to the 9th annual Japan Times Spelling Bee competition in March! All students have put their efforts!! Great job!!   幼小課程では、毎年行われている校内スペリングビーコンテストがありました。 (スペリングビーコンテストとは、出題された英単語のつづりを暗唱するコンテストです)   校内で優勝した生徒は、3月に行われる本大会に出場します。 みんなそれぞれ最善を尽くし、頑張った姿を見せてくれました!おつかれさまでした☺

G8’s Kakizome!!

毎年恒例の書き初め体験です。 今年は8年生が挑戦しました。 楽しみながら思いをしたため、 それぞれの文字表現が出来ました。 Grade 8 students tried KAKIZOME in Japanese class. Each Kanji character they wrote have meanings for their resolution in 2018. They were enjoying writing them. How do you like their works?

Columbia Has Character

Our kindergarten and elementary had an assembly in December and we talked about what we have worked on in 2017. Some students were working on homework which is related to “Responsibility”. Some students were helping others that could be “Caring”.   幼小課程では、昨年末に今年の振り返りをしました。 コロンビアで取り組んでいる「学習スキル(よりよい学習者になるための取り組み)」や「人格形成(より良い人になるための取り組み)」について話しました。 ある生徒は、宿題を熱心に取り組むことを通して、「責任」を育み、 ある生徒は、友達を助けることを通して「思いやり」を育みました。

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! CIS resumed on January 9th, and everyone is slowly getting used to regular school life after winter break. Today, we had an earthquake drill.
