Canadian took the win on Feb. 2nd against our boys team. Nevertheless we had a great performance by our boys with Moohaeng Song on fire with his shooting in the first half and our MVP, Taisei Watabe giving his all!!

Girls Basketball put in a tremendous effort against the Canadian Team. Our Spirit Bears gave them a run for their money but Canadian ended up taking the win.
On Feb. 2nd we has great rebounds by Anna Koike and MVPs of Satoko Nakamoto and Aiko “Anko” Shigeta.

Hey All,
It was a great day against KAIS on January 24th. MVP of the game was Shoichiro Watahiki with highlights being Sora Kanaji’s fast break lay-up and Kousuke Takahashi’s fast break lay-up in the lane during the first half.

The Canadian Schools Go Head to Head
On October 27th the Spirit Bears squared off against Canadian International School at their campus in Osaki.
Our boys beat Canadian in straight sets. It was an awesome win for the boys because they practiced so hard that week. Great game Spirit Bears!
MVPs go to Kousuke, Taisei and Moohaeng! Special strong efforts by Tom and Shoichiro and the grade 8s really provided support in the win. Way to Go Guys!!
The Girls team won a tough game against Canadian. MVPs were Aiko and Moohaeng-ko. Great spikes by Maya and great serves by Kotone. Go Spirit Bears!!

Volleyball Updates
On October 4th, the Spirit Bears tested their strength against the British School.
At the away game;
The Boys came up a little short but better luck next time guys. MVPs being Kosuke, Taisei and Allister
The Girls team bested BST 2-1!! Way to Go!!!!! MVPs go to Kumi Tanaka and Aiko Shigeta.
Also Great Saves by Hinako Watahiki and some awesome spikes by Rina Yamashita.

Yesterday Sept. 29th saw our Spirit Bears locked in mortal combat at away games at K. International School.
Boys-
It was a close match with Columbia going 0 for 2. Oh well, take it as a learning experience, shrug it off and win the next one!!
MVPs go to Naoya and Tom, also we had great saving by Mikuni and Shoichiro GOOOOOOO!! Spirit Bears!
Girls-
Busting heads and taking names was the theme of our girls match. Columbia finished 2 to 1. At a girls!
